Karol Bak è un ammiratore delle donne,un glorificatore della femminilità. Dipinge  belle forme accattivanti . Sembra avere il desiderio di rivelare le loro anime,  esamina le parti più profonde della loro natura.

Le sue  eroine  appaiono in  un immenso spazio, sono angeli, personificazioni degli elementi e dei venti; incarnano omicidi (Judyta, Salome) e persino la morte (Thanatos).

Il suo intento non è quello di mostrare le donne solo dal loro aspetto fisico, egli è consapevole del fatto che la donna si nota non solo come un corpo-oggetto , ma anche come il lato spirituale-fisico dell'essere umano, affettuoso, delicato e tenero di cuore alle emozioni . L'artista vuole mostrare la natura della donna in tutto il corpo e con accessori sempre più limitati.

Le opere dell'artista si dividono in  cicli di soggetti come: " Veliero "," Dialoghi "," bozzoli "," aureole "," Quattro elementi "," Judyta e Salome ". 

Nel ciclo di "bozzoli" torsi femminili e maschili "nascono" dal panno di seta, ornamenti  di testa  di uccelli esotici o lucertole, collegati con l'abito  sembrano   essere una parte del corpo femminile dipinto.

L'artista esplora e presenta delle donne  le loro condizioni spirituali, i desideri,l'energia positiva o negativa che ne deriva, allo stesso tempo assegna loro  i ruoli: elementi biblici, mitologici.

"Regarded as one of the world’s foremost watercolorists, Daniel Merriam has captured the hearts and curiosities of collectors worldwide. Merriam’s work was used for the playbill of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare produced by the Tony® Award-winning McCarter Theatre in New Jersey. Daniel Merriam has been interviewed on WCSH in Portland, Maine, KEYT in Santa Barbara, California, and KUSI News in San Diego, California. He has been the subject of feature articles in numerous national and international publications including The World & I, Art News, Art Business News, Arts & Antiques, and New Art International, among others."
